Please not open a bank account with this company. Very poor service. I am in the other country and I call the service and they not help me in anything. Choice a other bank

Can anyone please explain what is wrong with the banks in Sweden? I have never encountered such problems anywhere I have lived before. Nevertheless, we were greeted by a bored clerk who inspected me and my husband in an obvious and tactless manner. He basically asked some very uncomfortable questions to assess our level of wealth. He ended up telling us that this branch does not accept every customer who walks in and supposedly, we live too far from this location to be allowed to open an account there. We live 15 minutes away! What type of bank is this and since when does a bank teller decide where I should open my bank account? Step it up Handelsbanken, this is embarrassing!

If I could rate Handelsbanken less then 1 star I would. Absolutely worst bank I have ever had to deal with. First of all the online banking through computer is only in Swedish, both phone operators and workers at 3 different locations in Stockholm do not know anything about the services they are supposed to provide or even try to help at all in most instances. They do not accept money at the bank locations and do not help with transfers within Sweden or internationally, instead they will tell you to use the online bank...that is in Swedish or mobile bank that does not allow international transfers.... or they say uhmmm well I don't know...literally to every question. Also their debitcards are maestro.. not accepted in many places even within Sweden.

The staff at this branch are amazingly friendly and helpful. They have gone out of their way to help me on several occasions, especially when I was out of the country.

a bank that is under the influence of surrounding opinion and thereby is addicted to discrimination against people, shame!!!
